A NEW DAWN FOR THE WATER SECTOR AS RT. HON. FATAI OLOTU RESUMES OFFICE AS THE COMMISSIONER FOR WATER RESOURCES, PUBLIC SANITATION AND HYGIENE.
Ondo State commissioner for Water Resources Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Rt. Hon. Fatai Olotu has charged the staff of the ministry to be alive to their duties at all times as this will go a long way in achieving the mandate of the ministry and the vision of the present administration for the water sector.
Speaking at the maiden meeting with the staff held in the board room of the ministry last week, Olotu expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him, assuring that with hardwork, support and cooperation of all, the Ondo state water sector would soon begin to witness positive changes.
In his further remarks, the commissioner who applauded Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for his KAMOMI AKETI water scheme initiative, noted that the project has no doubt put smiles on the faces of residents across the State.
Earlier, in his welcome remarks, the Permanent Secretary, ministry of water Resources, public sanitation hygiene, Alhaji Ibraheem Olabode Yusuf assured the commissioner of the unalloyed support and cooperation of the entire management and staff of the ministry.
He noted that with the current reform being carried out by the present administration in the water sector, the sector is lucky to have a commissioner who is noted for his trail blazing achievements in his previous public service engagement, he expressed confidence that he would re enact his magic wand to take the sector to greater heights.
In his own remarks, the president of AUPCTRE and former Chairman of JNC, Comrade Solomon Adelegan described members of staff as committed and vibrant officers who are ready to carry out any official assignment given to them. He also assured the commissioner of unflinching support from members of staff.
