The Senatorial Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ondo North, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba, on Tuesday expressed heartfelt condolences over the death of a seasoned Public Policy Analyst, Chief Bisi Ogunjobi OON.
Cheif Ogunjobi who was a former Vice President of African Development Bank (AfDB) was said to have passed away on the
11th of September, 2022.
Ipinsagba’s condolence message is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo State Capital by his media team.
The APC senatorial Candidate in a condolences message said: “A cold shiver ran down my spine when I received the sad news of the death of our beloved brother, Chief Bisi Ogunjobi few days ago. I am still in shock.
“We will miss him, he has creditably done well, his sterling characters and stellar performances were inimitable”
Pastor Ipinsagba further described Ogunjobi’s demise as “huge void in Ikare” praying that may God repose his soul and grant fortitude to his family and friends to bear the loss.
Until his death, Chief Bisi Ogunjobi was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Samuel Adegboyega University, Ogwa, Edo State.
He was also the Chairman of Vitachem Nigeria Limited and Seedvest MicroFinance Bank as well as the Lead Partner of McFeley Development Associates.
He has held several Corporate Board appointments including serving on the Boards of Directors of Zimbabwe Development Bank, Development Bank of Zambia, African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim), Cairo Egypt and Global Trust Bank Ltd in Uganda. He was the Chairman of SeedVest Microfinance Bank, Ibadan, Oyo State before he died.
Elder Bisi Ogunjobi served as the Coordinator, National Technical Working Group (Corporate Governance) and was a Member, Governance & Media Working Group First Medium Term Implementation Plan 2011-2013 of Vision 20:2020. He was also a Member of the Ondo State Economic Advisory Committee 2007-2008 and the Pro-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba -Akoko, Ondo State.
