Thalis Apalowo Bags Award, Launches First Edition Of Debate Competition
Legislative aide to the member representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives ‘Green Chamber’ has been honoured with an award of Excellence by the Federation of Ogbagi Students Union on Friday.
The award was presented at the annual Gala Night of the association in Ogbagi, Akoko North West area of Ondo state by the President of the union, Comrade Makinde.
According to the President, Apalowo who is a former President of the union has always made himself available to support any activity of the Union and as well established himself as one of the fastest growing personality to reckon with in the state.
Apalowo also launched the first edition of his Essay Competition with Winners also announced at the Gala Night.
Aribisala Matthew who won the competition got a prize of fifty thousand Naira (50,000) cash; Ogunleye Olasunkanmi who was the first runner-up got a prize of thirty thousand Naira (30,000) cash; Olutola Ademola Donald who was the second runner-up got a prize of twenty thousand Naira (20,000) cash.
While presenting the prizes, Apalowo noted that the competition is his own way of giving back to the society and encouraging excellence in the education sector.
He urged the winners to keep working hard and promised more support for the students community.
