2023: Oyo Group urges residents to vote Seyi Makinde
°°°Takes Voter Education to Akinyele Community
All progressive loving people in Oyo state have been admonished to work for the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde to allowed him continue his effort towards effective distribution of dividends of democracy, continuation of people centred policies as well as good and inclusive governance.
The Omituntun Initiative in Diaspora, OID, gave the admonition as it embarked on a Voter Education Outreach to sensitize eligible voters in Akinyele Local government area of Oyo state.
Addressing the participants, Youth Ambassador, Omituntun Initiative in Diaspora, Akinyele local government, Comrade Moruf Ọladẹjọ, said there is the need to enlighten eligible voters on how to vote to re – elect Governor Makinde especially the insistence on the use of Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS for the general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, NEC.
In their separate presentations, representatives of OID in Akinyẹle Area, Ọlalekan Raheem, Kehinde Sanni and Kayọde Ajani tutored the people on how to cast their votes, monitored and follow up their poll with the modern facilities.
A cross section of the participants while commending members of OID for putting the sensitization programme together, described it as not only timely, impactful but also insightful, saying such should also be extended to potential voters in other rural areas.
The train of Omituntun Initiative in the Diaspora’s, OID, voter education outreach which benefited hundreds of voters was also taken to Moniya Market.
