The immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Mr Kola Olawoye SAN has resigned his membership of the All Progressive Congress.
In a letter dated 21st of February, 2023, addressed to the Party secretary at Ehin -Ogbe Ward 1 in Owo Local Government, the Senior Advocate said he can no longer entrust the future of his political career or progress and or advancement in the hands of failing leadership of APC at all level of governance in Nigeria.
He said further, “if the latest flagrant disobedience to the interim order made by the Apex Court in Nigeria by President Mohammadu Buhari is anything to go by, the ruling APC is the worse ever in Nigeria as far as executive lawlessness is concerned. As a Senior Lawyer who is irrevocably and unapologetically committed to rule of law, equity and justice, I should not be seen associating myself further with such government”.
He has therefore declared his support for the candidacy of Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe, and Rt Hon Ayo Arowele on the platform of PDP for Ondo North Senatorial District and Owo/Ose Federal Constituency respectively.
