Social media is a powerful revolution that has changed our lives all round; it changes the way we behave, conduct our businesses, engage in political affairs, build professions and set jobs for we citizens.
The impact of social media on our societyuse of platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The way people has been socialised has greatly change the society. Social media has made it easy to connect to our family members, friends and relatives on a real-time basis.
Social media have been able to make good impact in the society due to the Social media network feed of interactions among people, they become more powerful as they grow. Thanks to internet, each person with marginal views can see that he is not alone. Without social media, social ethica, environment and political ills would have minimal visibility.
Social media brings an increased awareness about societal issues, question remain as to whether awareness is translating into real change. some said social media has encouraged people to use computers and mobile phones to express their concerns on social issues without being engaged actively with campaigns in real life.
Despite issue of lack of privacy and some instances of cheating among long distance learners, this has not baulk social media from being used in Education, Awareness and Noble causes.
The use of social media in education is eulogize. Learners can enroll in global collaborative platforms to alleviate constructive learning. Social media also subsidize in skill improvement by surrogateing knowledge and creativity. Social media informed about events happening across the globe or in other people’s lives. Using social media in dissimilarity to Television, Radio and Newspaper, social media lets everyone convey information accurately by presenting the real picture.
Social media create awareness because people have become more consciou. It serves as a channel for information. It covers global event, making people more aware of their surroundings. Anyone can let their creativity shine through the platform for it to be shared by billions of people.
Lastly, noble cause can be promoted on social media. It is the ideal tool for endorsing causes like giving donations to those with less privileged, for instance, to those who need money for treatment or for feeding.
While people can use social media to assist others in finance, it is also the fastest way to promote any worthwhile cause.
