SENATOR JIDE IPINSAGBA COMMISSION ALUNMI PROJECT AT RUFUS GIWA POLYTECHNIC, OWO
The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the red chamber of Abuja, Distinguished Senator Jide Ipinsagba, visited Owo Local Government Area of Ondo state on Sunday to commission a project initiated by the Abuja chapter of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo alumni association.
Mr. Olumide Abdul, representing the Senator, commissioned the solar-powered borehole on his behalf. While commissioning the project, he commended the initiative of the alumni association for giving back to their alma mater and society.
He reiterated the essential need for water among students, stating that water is life and this project is vital, resourceful, and commendable. He further pledged to continue bringing more benefits to the people as a good representative of Ondo North Senatorial District.
He emphasized that waiting for the government to provide everything is not necessary, and individuals, groups, and associations should be willing to contribute their quotas for the betterment of their immediate environment. While the government will continue to do its best, other well-to-do members of society can assist in complementing the government’s efforts.
The Senator urged all state chapters of the polytechnic alumni to come together and contribute towards the development of the school that made them who they are today.
Congratulations to the Abuja Chapter of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Alumni Students Association on the successful execution of this great project, which will go a long way in catering to the water needs of the student community and benefiting mankind.
