_ONDO NORTH YOUTHS ALLIANCE’S OPEN LETTER: A CALL FOR DIALOGUE AND FACT-CHECKING_
We appreciate the passion and concern expressed by the Ondo North Youths Alliance in their open letter to Senator Jide Ipinsagba. However, we must address the misleading information and assumptions presented.
Firstly, we acknowledge the senator’s commitment to empowering Ondo North youths through various initiatives, including entrepreneurship training, education support, and job creation. His office has consistently engaged with constituents, listening to their concerns and addressing them promptly.
Regarding the questions raised, we urge the alliance to seek accurate information before making public accusations. Our office is open to providing detailed explanations and evidence on:
1. Fertilizer distribution: A transparent process involving local farmers’ associations and government agencies.
2. Palliatives: Distributed fairly among vulnerable groups, with records available for public scrutiny.
3. SLA slots: Merit-based selection, with beneficiaries chosen through a fair and transparent process.
4. NEMA palliatives: Distributed according to established guidelines, with recipients verified by local authorities.
5. Constituency allowance: Managed responsibly, with projects and initiatives benefiting Ondo North citizens.
6. Amnesty program slots: Selection based on established criteria, with priority given to deserving cases.
7. Niger Delta States Oversight funds: Utilized for designated projects, with proper accounting and transparency.
We understand the alliance’s desire for accountability but urge them to seek facts before making accusations. We invite them to a constructive dialogue to address concerns and showcase the senator’s achievements.
Let us work together for Ondo North’s progress, rather than spreading misinformation and division.
