The Aejiogbe Oduduwa Alphabet Academy promoter Chief Tolulase Oguntosin Taye alongside two renowned Acheaologists Prof. Adisa Ogunfolakan and Prof. Aremu from Obafemi Awolowo University,OAU,Ile-Ife and the University of Ibadan, UI were on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
During the visit, the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry, Alh. Rasheed Badmus acknowledged the team for the visit which he said was timely.
He assured that Ondo State Government would support the team in the quest to promote the oduduwa alphabet.
Alh.Rasheed Badmus said that governor Lucky Aiydatiwa has taken into cognisance of the need to protect the cultural heritage in the state and as one of his priority to develop the Tourism potentials in the state to generate employment and boast the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.
Earlier in his address, Prof.Adisa Ogunfolakan congratulated the Commissioner on his new appointment.
He explained that the purpose of their visit was to abreast the Ministry about the discovery of Oduduwa Alphabet at the Idanre Hills Resort which he wanted the Ondo state government to leaverage on as a means to generate funds as well promotion of Tourism in the state.
Also, Chief. Tolulase Oguntosin from Port Novo, said he discovered the Oduduwa Alphabet during his research at Igbo Alale some years back and pleaded for government intervention.
Other speakers was Prof. Aremu from the University of Ibadan and Chief. Mrs. Olufolaju Yeye Oge of Idanre Kingdom agreed to the fact that Ondo state is blessed with abundant tourist attractions which must be fully utilized for the development of the state.
