Ondo North Senator, Jide Ipinsagba Empowers 100 Women in Senatorial District
Owo, Ondo State – Senator Jide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, has empowered women in Owo/Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The initiative, aimed at mitigating the effects of economic hardship on women and youths, provided each participant with a grant to establish their businesses.
The program, held in Owo, was designed to equip women with the skills and resources needed to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the local economy.
The training sessions covered topics such as business management, marketing, and financial literacy, in addition to Akara chips production.
Speaking at the event, Senator Ipinsagba represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Layi Yusuf emphasized the importance of empowering women and youths in the region.
“The government cannot provide jobs for everyone, so we must encourage entrepreneurship and self-reliance,” he said.
“This program is part of our efforts to reduce poverty and promote economic growth in Ondo North Senatorial District.”
The senator promised to continue the initiative, focusing primarily on women and youths in the region.
“We will continue to support our women and youths, providing them with the resources they need to succeed,” he said.
The APC Woman Leader of Owo Local Government, Omolola Adedugba, appreciated the senator’s kind gesture, praising his commitment to the community’s development.
“Senator Ipinsagba has always been a champion of our people’s cause,” she said. “We are grateful for his support and encouragement.”
The women, trained in Akara chip production, received grants to start their businesses, expressing gratitude for the timely intervention.
This program has given us hope and a new lease on life,” said one participant. “We are grateful to Senator Ipinsagba for his kindness and support.
This initiative follows Senator Ipinsagba’s previous efforts, including sponsoring 600 JAMB forms for students and providing fertilizers to farmers in Ondo North Senatorial District.
