Stakeholders in Ondo Kingdom, and private investors on Friday visited the Palace of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Kiladejo to officially inform the palace and the kingdom about the Ondo Development and Economy Summit.
The Ondo Development and Economy Summit is a community -government initiative which is primarily designed to compliment the economic contributions of the Akeredolu led administration in Ondo Kingdom by bringing economic and finance expert to drive sustainable economic development in the Kingdom.
The maiden edition of the economy summit is being hosted by the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU) and Hessmac Consulting.
Speaking during the visit, the Director General of the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU), Engr. Babajide Akeredolu attributed the need for an holistic community development as the driving force of the summit.
“If there’s anything needed for our Communities to thrive, it is an economic environment which puts them in a better position to be financially liberated and independent.
The Akeredolu led administration is doing a lot in this regards with impressive results to show, and the ultimate goal of ODES is to build on this success stories on order to harness our immense economic potentials” he added.
Also, Dr. Femi Akinkuebi, Managing Director of Ore industrial Park who is also a member of the local organizing committee of the summit reiterated the need for indigenes of the kingdom to take advantage of the summit to advance their economic lots.
According to him, the present day realities of Nigeria has necessitated the need for everyone to take their destinies into their hand by seizing opportunities like this to collectively make executable economy decisions which will benefit the greatest number of people.
He also disclosed that the summit is scheduled to hold at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo City on the 1st and 2nd of September,2022.
The Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Kiladejo in his address appreciated the organizers of the summit while also enjoining the indigenes of the kingdom to leverage on the opportunity to develop the kingdom.
