The Ondo State Police Command has warned residents of the state against any convergence of protest.
The police command gave this warning following the residents’ plan to stage a protest over the incessant scarcity of fuel and naira notes rocking the country.
The PUNCH had earlier reported protests staged in Oyo and Edo states over fuel and naira scarcity.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Oyeyemi Oyediran, disclosed this while apprising residents against actions that can lead to a breach of peace and stability in the state.
Oyediran said the Command is aware of the agendas of the residents to stage a protest in order to air their anger.
He, however, appealed to residents of the state to desist from such activities.
He said security agents have been notified to ensure the safety of residents and apprehend offenders of the law.
