On behalf of His Royal Majesty the kabiyesi Olukare of Ikare (Oba) Alhaji Alkadr Saliu Momoh IV (JP, CON, GFR), we appreciate the concern of persons of means and Ikare statesmen under the umbrella of Ikare peace think thank for the dialogue held last weekend Saturday 3rd June, 2023.
Your campaign for peace in Ikare is a big challenge to the traditional institution of the ancient town. Seeing the who-is-whos in today’s political scene making a courtesy call to Ìyòméta and to us (for the sake of peaceful coexistence and social developments) regardless of your quarters within Ikare or political affiliations is a clear message on its own.
It makes no sense to anyone knowing the negative impression that comes with making headlines for persistent crisis. But if we will let bygones be bygones and resign to fate, definitely Ikare has all it takes to enjoy lasting peace and regain her central place in the community of advancing cities in Southwest Nigeria.
Oba Momoh wants you to know that the peace and progress of Ikare is our collective concern. Our doors will continue to be opened to you. We remain hopeful for a positive turnaround as a follow-up to your collaborated efforts.
