Youths have been advised to get themselves equipped to benefit from the various opportunities available in the entrepreneurship world.
This was made known by a former Senior Special Assistant to Ondo state governor on youths and students affairs, Muyiwa Asagunla at the inauguration ceremony for new executives of Akoko North West Youth Forum.
Asagunla stressed the need for the new officials of the forum to ensure skill acquisition programmes are organised to equip young persons and prepare them for future opportunities.
While delivering the Inauguration lecture, Dr. Kehinde Ogunyemi emphasized the need to strengthen the leadership-followership relationship. According to him, “bad followers will become bad leaders”.
The Executive Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, Elder Samson Akande, pledged strong support for the new leaders. Represented at the event by Hon. Ojo Akeju, Akande said the youths are the backbone of any government at any level.
Giving his inaugural speech, the new president of the body, Samuel Mayowa promised to set a new agenda for youth empowerment in the area. He urged all stakeholders to support the new leadership for effective delivery.
