NIGERIA AT 63: OUR UNITY REMAINS OUR GREATEST STRENGTH.
Fellow Nigerians, on this proud day, as we celebrate the incredible journey and significant milestone of our great nation on her 63rd Anniversary of Independence, I extend my warm greetings and congratulations to you all.
Independence day gives us a sense of reflection, celebration, and anticipation. It is a time for us to reflect on the sacrifices made by our heroes past, who fought tirelessly for the freedom and sovereignty we enjoy today.
Our journey over the past six decades as a sovereign nation has been characterized by remarkable successes, and yet inevitable challenges. As we reflect on our achievements on this day, we must also allow them to inspire us to focus more on the promising future that lies ahead, amid the surmountable challenges.
Profoundly, I seize this moment to commend the resilience and enduring spirit mustered by the Nigerian people throughout our Nation’s eventful journey thus far. Our unity remains our greatest strength. Amid diversity, we have demonstrated patriotism and exhibited unity; knowing fully well that only through our undivided strength we can overcome the numerous challenges confronting us.
As we come together to celebrate this historic day, let us also rededicate ourselves to building a brighter future for our country. Let us continue to work towards a society that is inclusive, just, and thriving for all its citizens.
We must continue to embrace our diversity and forge ahead in unquenchable patriotism for our country and unbreakable unity to give life to the dreams and visions of our founding heroes.
To my Ondo people, I want to assure you of my unwavering commitment to this task of nation-building and dedication to contributing to the sustenance of our independence and its ideals, especially as I look forward to serve you. My visions are such that they will afford citizens’ rights and protection, promote good governance, and ensure that rule of law persists, as enshrined in the Nation’s constitution.
Congratulations once again, my fellow Nigerians. May Nigeria continue to wax stronger, and may our journey towards a brighter and prosperous nation be filled with peace, success, and tremendous achievements.
