……. Reaffirm supports for Akoko North East candidacy
A prominent high Chief in Akoko area of Ondo state , the olokoja of Okoja has debunks lingering rumors of his declaration to supports the candidate of the minister of interior, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo ahead of the Akoko North Bye-Election.
In a letter released to newsmen on Monday, the revered Chief maintain his unwavery stand for a candidate from the Akoko North East for the house of representatives position having been previously occupied by candidate from the Akoko North West Local government.
The documents reads:
My attention has been drawn to a letter purportedly emanated from a supposedly declaration of support for Hon. olubumi Tunji Ojo, the Honourable Minister of interior by Okoja Chief’s where in the said declaration okoja Chief’s resolved to support whosover he supports.
It is pertinent to establish that Okoja Chief’s are men of Impeeceable character who enjoys constitutional rights to support any candidate of their choice or identify with any politician in ikare Akoko , Akoko North East local Government and Ondo State in Particular.
However, what is to be established is that there is nowhere any meeting was held where Okoja chief’s made such declaration
I, Chief Sunday Bode, didn’t attend, participate or declare for any politician in any meeting held in Okoja or any part of ikare either in person or by proxy
The purported declaration of support as contained in the concern Okoja chief’s letter is nothing but a delebrate attempt to destroy my hard earned reputation as a vibrant young man who believes in ikare project.
I disassociate myself from the purported declaration and wish to reaffirm that my political choice and candidate is a personal issue devoid of unnecessary media paparazzi.
I implore members ot the public to disregard declaration as I am not a party to it.
Thank you and God bless.
