The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Emmanuel Ipinsagba has extended warm greetings and congratulations to Royal Fathers, Chiefs and the people of Ikare-Akoko on the occasion of the 2024 New Yam (Ìgbodò) festival.
In a statement conveyed through his Media Assistant, Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna, the Senator expressed his joy in celebrating the auspicious occasion with sons and daughters of Ikare-Akoko at home and abroad.
He emphasised the festival’s significance as a reflection of rich tradition and values of the people, which symbolises the harvest of hard work and blessings of the land.
Senator Ipinsagba highlighted the importance of culture and unity, emphasising the need to celebrate and promote unity within the community.
He expressed his hope that the New Yam Festival (Ìgbodò) would inspire people to embrace their tradition, unity and progress, towards fostering development and better life in Ikare-Akoko.
