EID-EL-KABIR: ONDO NUJ GREETS MUSLIMS, TASKS FAITHFUL ON THE TENET OF ISLAM
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council has felicitated Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of the Eid el Kabir celebration.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, Prince Leke Adegbite and the Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack, the Union felicitated Muslim faithful and urged them to always imbibe the tenet of Islam.
According to the statement, Islam symbolizes peace, love and selflessness towards mankind, and these should be the attributes of every Muslim faithful.
The statement also urged Muslim faithful all over the country to use the occasion to reflect on the state of our nation and pray for Allah’s intervention.
Allah is a compassionate creator, and Prophet Muhammad, (Peace Be Unto Him) lived a compassionate life towards his fellow humans, and therefore every Muslim must be compassionate towards his fellow human beings.
The Union noted that if everyone shows love to his fellow human beings as enshrined in the tenet of Islam, the world will be a safe place to live, and urged all Muslims to show love even in the face of provocation.
The statement also urged government at all levels to move fast to stem the rising tide of insecurity blowing across the nation.
