ONDO MINORITY LEADER, HON ELEGBELEYE HAILS EMERGENCE OF ADELEKE AS OSUN GOVERNOR
The Minority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Rasheed Elegbeleye has described the victory Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Osun State governorship election, as cheering and spirit lifting for the party ahead of the 2023 general election.
In a Press Statement issued in Akure on Tuesday to congratulate the Osun Governor-elect, the Minority Leader however tasks the Ondo State Chapter of the PDP to put its house in order for it to record successes in 2023 polls and beyond.
Hon Elegbeleye who is a PDP lawmaker representing Akoko Northeast Constituency, notes with delight that the PDP is gradually taking over the Southwest with its victory in Osun State recently.
Hon Elegbeleye also described the victory of Adeleke as the collective voice of the masses.
The lawmaker said “the victory of PDP in Osun is a good omen that people are no longer at home with APC government’s anti-people policies.
He urged the Ondo State Chapter of the PDP to embark on bridge-building and fence-mending efforts to entrench genuine reconciliation and love among it’s chieftains after the last primaries.
“I want to appeal to PDP leaders in Ondo State to get their house in order and think about the future of our people and not on factional system always,” Hon Elegbeleye said.
Adeleke of the PDP had defeated the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by 28,344 votes margin to emerge winner.
